Vodafone Christchurch

Vodafone has a long partnership with Christchurch, through good times and tough times. After the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, Vodafone provided free WiFi, charging stations, free calling for customers and relief agencies, and established the Vodafone Foundation Canterbury Fund to assist the rebuild. Now with a $50 million, 12-year investment in the region, Vodafone is building a 9,000 square metre five level office building to form an expanded main South Island office. Upon its completion in 2016,

Vodafone Christchurch will join London, Milan, Dusseldorf and Cairo in housing a xone ‘innovation incubator’ to support technology start-ups. In partnership with the New Zealand government, xone will help the Christchurch Innovation Precinct become a catalyst for creativity, increased exports and productivity.
